Our church body is committed to helping college students stay TETHERED to:
** FAITH: John 15:5 ” I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
** The ANCHOR that holds. We must cling to the God who is permanent, stead, unchanging. Hebrews 6: 19-20 “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high preiest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
** The WORD: God’s TRUTH is for every season. Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
** ONE ANOTHER: Ecclesiastes 4:12 and 16 “…to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up…From him the whole body joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
** TO Dahlonega Baptist Church as a home church away from your home church.
At Dahlonega Baptist Church, our college ministry stands as a vibrant beacon of faith, community, and growth, designed specifically for students navigating the unique challenges of college life. Here, we cultivate an environment where young adults can explore their beliefs, engage in thoughtful discussions, and deepen their relationship with Christ amidst the rigors of academia. Our gatherings provide a safe space for honest dialogue, allowing students to share their experiences and support one another in their spiritual journeys. Through biblical teachings, fellowship, and service opportunities, we empower each member to discover their God-given purpose while fostering lifelong friendships that encourage them to stand firm in their faith. Join us as we seek to create a loving, nurturing community that not only anchors students in God’s truth but also inspires them to shine brightly in the world around them.
The issues we face today may seem to be exclusive to our moment in time, but the reality is that “there is no new thing under the sun”.
(Ecclesiastes 1:9)
God is not surprised by any circumstance in this world, or in your own life.
Colossians 2:2
“that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full
assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ.”
This is our ministry verse as we hope to better prepare the next generation to not be surprised by the circumstances in the world.
But rather to be able to face them with an encouraged heart that is surrounded by those that will love and support you.
