Together We Build: A New Educational Wing
Join us in our mission to create a vibrant space for learning and growth at Dahlonega Baptist Church.
Our NEW Education wing will be a two story structure dedicated to Children, our Weekday Preschool, Youth, Young Adults and Families. Additionally, we will add needed adult space in our existing lower level currently occupied by our Children’s MInistry and Weekday Preschool Ministry. We persue these steps of faith as a church family with a heart and vision to engage and reach the Next Generation of our community, surrounding areas and beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
There has been a strong spirit of unity and commitment toward this goal and pursuit marked by a deep appreciation for our past, and the faithful shoulders of previous generations upon which we now stand. For over 180 years Dahlonega Baptist Church has been IN the heart of Dahlonega WITH a heart for Dahlonega. Twenty five years ago, our church took the leap of faith to move from the old church location on South Chestatee to where our current sanctuary stands on Hawkins Street overlooking the Downtown Square. We continue in that same spirit as we put faith and hope to brick to pour into the Next Generation of DBC.

This project embodies our commitment to ‘Connect, Worship, Grow, Serve’ by providing a dedicated space for spiritual and educational development, ensuring that our community continues to flourish in faith and knowledge.

July 6, 2026
Groundbreaking
Work officially began today with preliminary playground relocation and parking addition.
August 4, 2026
Foundation Prep
Grading for the foundation is complete, the footers are dug, plumbing is going in this week and the playground has temporarily been relocated to the upper grassy area.
